Here are some of the projects (by date) that we’re
currently working on,
or have recently completed. Roll your mouse over the list to the left for

WZZM TV 13
October 2007 — DVK Construction has
recently completed the News Room renovation for WZZM 13. Renovation included
the demolition and new construction of the Editing Rooms, along with relocating the
“Take 5” space. Construction began in September and completion for the project was
in late October.
Gill Industries
February 2008 — DVK Construction has has recently completed a project for Gill Industries located
on Clay Avenue SW in Grand Rapids, adding a metal building for use as a truck dock. Construction began in November of 2007 and was
completed in January 2008.
Renewal Skinspa
February 2008 — DVK Construction has recently completed a 2200 square foot renovation for Renewal Skinspa located at 6080 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, MI. The interior was completely redesigned and renovated, including replacing half-walls with complete walls, electrical work for laser treatment and spray tanning equipment, new lighting to create a pleasant and soothing spa atmosphere, hardwood floors, millwork, cabinetry, wall finishes and an inviting new front desk area. In essence, DVK, with Prevost Design from New York City, created a paradise-inspired environment. Construction began December 3rd and was completed on January 31st.
The Shoppes on 52nd Street
March 2008 — DVK Construction has recently completed a project for The Shoppes on 52nd Street. There were 2 retail building shells developed, one is a 7,650 SF building to hold 6 tenants and the other is a 8,860 SF building designed for 7 different tenants. One building currently has 4 tenants which includes, Bailey’s Grove Coffee & Creamery, PJ’s Pizza, China One and Fabulous Nails. The site is designed for a future bank and another 37,000 SF of Office/Retail.
Grand Valley Armory
May 2008 — DVK Construction has has recently completed the renovations
at the Grand Valley Armory in Wyoming. The 530 square foot addition includes new ranges, griddles, and other
kitchen equipment to serve the Armory and its events. The existing vehicle storage area has been bisected and
a new personal storage area has been constructed in four of the vehicle bays, which will serve as storage
for National Guard troops that are deployed. The Armory renovations include 2,600 square feet
of newly renovated offices, and a combined additional 550 square feet of vault space within its existing vaults.
Surrounding offices adjacent to the vaults received minor renovations. The HVAC system at the Armory has also been
upgraded along with these renovations.
PureFlex, Inc.
May 2008 — DVK Construction has recently completed the exterior and interior office expansion and renovation for PureFlex Inc. located at 4855 Broadmoor in Kentwood. The 21,000 square foot project will serve as the new corporate headquarters for Andronaco Industries.
Flow-Rite Controls
May 2008 — DVK Construction has been awarded another project for Flow-Rite Controls in Byron Center. The 50,000 square foot addition is to support the expanded needs of the warehousing, shipping, and production departments. Construction is scheduled to start in June and completion is set for December of 2008. Aivars Linde is the design build architect for the project. A ground breaking ceremony is scheduled for June 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at 960 74th Street in Byron Center, MI.
Lakeland Finishing
May 2008 — DVK Construction has recently completed a 35,000 square foot addition and a 3 hour fire separation wall for Lakeland Finishing, built between the new and existing building. Construction started January 1st and was completed on May 1, 2008. Lakeland Finishing provides the finish to many of the parts we see in our vehicles today.
Grand River Physical Therapy
May 2008 — DVK Construction has recently completed a 7000 square foot renovation for Grand River Physical Therapy on South State Road in Ionia. The renovation consisted of a new reception and patient waiting area, new canopy covered entrance, emergency generator system, snow melt system to keep the walks dry, improved the barrier free accessibility inside and out, new parking lot, and all new high efficiency mechanical systems. The building now looks much more inviting than the space originally built as a racket ball facility.
