The M6 expressway corridor, completed in 2004, has dramatically opened the southern half of Kent County to economic development. That growth has fostered a retail explosion to serve nearby employees and homeowners.
For this project, DVK workers created a classic small-town main street environment. Two separate building shells were white-boxed using the latest energy-efficient materials, with tenants receiving an attractive, individual facade and custom buildout.
Each storefront features its own unique awning. Quality construction materials were used to influence today’s increasingly discerning shopper: stone, brick and block, steel and glass. Lighting, lampposts and landscaping all contribute to this fresh and inviting interpretation of a suburban strip mall.
Constructed through a Michigan winter, the DVK team quickly enclosed the site, allowing smooth progress during the entire project, regardless of weather.
