| Grandville
Fire Station
This all-inclusive facility,
located on the corner of Wilson and Prairie in Grandville,
Michigan, was designed to meet both current and future
needs of a growing city. The building is used to store
and service fire-fighting vehicles and equipment,
and includes sleeping quarters, kitchen, laundry,
locker rooms and a training room for firefighters.
The administrative wing has offices for the chief,
deputy chief, and squad superintendent, conference
rooms and library.
The exterior has a base of split faced masonry which
is capped with limestone. Limestone was also used
for accent bands within the brick veneer on the rest
of the exterior. A pre-finished metal standing seam
was used for the roof treatment. |
