| Flow-Rite Controls
Keeping all production phases,
from design and engineering to prototyping and final
production, under one roof was important to Flow-Rite.
Their new facility, built on six acres of land, was
designed with manufacturing processes in mind, allowing
Flow-Rite to keep inventory and quality control at
optimal levels.
The pre-engineered manufacturing
portion of Flow-Rite's building allows for future expansion
of up to 50,000 sq. ft. The central office area is spacious and open, with
a barrel vaulted ceiling and clerestory windows on the mezzanine that
run the length of the office. A central corridor connects the reception area
with office space and a café. Curved walls, painted in shades of blue, represent the company's
work in fluid controls.
In addition to natural lighting,
numerous green components comprise the interior,
including linoleum flooring, florescent
lighting, water-based paint, and biocomposite countertops.
